High Metal Concentration
A high concentration of metals can discolor water and lead to staining and other problems.
To remove existing stains, use Doheny's Water Warehouse All Surface Cleaner and brush
stained area regularly to remove stains. To prevent metal stains in the future, include a dose
of Water Warehouse Stain Remover with your weekly maintenance routine.

Black Algae
Black Algae can be eliminated by using Doheny's Water Warehouse Total Pool Algaecide in
conjunction with Doheny's Water Warehouse Shock specific to your pool following the
recommended dosage on the package. Run your swimming pool filter overnight to circulate
the shock throughout the pool's water paying special attention to areas with existing algae
blooms. You may need to backwash your filter during and after this process to prevent high
pressure readings. You will also need to brush the existing algae spots daily to loosen and
remove any algae debris until algae spots disappear.

To prevent future algae blooms, shock your pool regularly and add a weekly
maintenance dosage of the Doheny's Water Warehouse Pool Algaecide that is right
  for your pool.

Low pH
If the pH in your water is low it can lead to corrosion, rapid decrease in chlorine/bromine
residual, and also lead to irritation of the eyes and skin of swimmers. This can be resolved by
adding Doheny's Water Warehouse pH Plus according to package instructions. Run your
swimming pool filter for two to three hours to circulate and then re-test your water. Repeat as
necessary until pH levels are between 7.4 and 7.6 ppm.

Low pH and Alkalinity
In order to bring your pool water back into balance, we suggest the following: First you must
correct the alkalinity level by adding Doheny's Water Warehouse Alkalinity Up according to
package instructions. Re-circulate for two to three hours and then re-test the water. Repeat
as necessary until the alkalinity level is between 80 and 120 ppm. Because pH and alkalinity
levels are so closely related and directly affect each other, it is recommended that you check
your pH level the following day and adjust accordingly with either Doheny's Water Warehouse
pH Plus or  pH Minus until the pH level is between 7.4 and 7.6 ppm.

Low Calcium Hardness
If the calcium hardness level of your pool water is too low it can lead to corrosion on heating
elements along with other pool surfaces. To increase the calcium hardness of your pool
water, add Doheny's Water Warehouse Calcium Plus according to package instructions.  Re-
test the water the following day.  Repeat as needed until the calcium hardness level of your
pool is between the recommended range of 200 to 400 ppm.

NOTE:
  There is a difference between
FREE AVAILABLE CHLORINE or  BROMINE and

Total Chlorine or Bromine.

Free Chlorine or Bromine readings are the  level of available sanitizers in your pool's water.
Total Chlorine or Bromine readings that are above your FREE AVAILABLE level indicate
that your pool needs to be shocked.

In order to maintain Properly Balanced & Clear Pool Water, it is recomended
that your filter system run continuously 24/7.
